Interested in being part of the team? Step this way...
You'll be joining a team of over forty writers and counting, with varied levels of experience and expertise. Whilst some revel in the delights of dubstep, others would rather rock out to some metal - whatever your tastes, we can find something for you, as well as push your musical boundaries too.
If you're also interested in getting involved with the 'behind the scenes' events at Bandidge, e.g. the designing, the coding, marketing, street teaming, then you've reached the right place. We've got a flourishing group of people who are dedicated to making Bandidge successful in not only print, but in the wider world.
Additionally to all of this, our team get added to a Mailing List, that allows everyone to keep up to date with the latest promotional possibilities available to our writers and staff, and what's going on in the team.
On top of that, you will also have the chance to join our Facebook group, that allows you to chat with your fellow writers and organise things!
There are also additional material for you to download, including style guides and extra information, FAQ's etc that will all be of use, and provide you with the best support we can give.
When looking to drop us an email, it would be great if you could include a little bit about the following - it's what we ask all of our new writers, so don't worry! It's not a job interview either, it's just a way of finding out a bit about you without asking a thousand probing questions:
1. Fairly straightforward question - what sort of music are you into? The more obscure the better, we get all sorts through, so even if you've got a secret obsession with McFly, it can usually be of some help!
2. Are there any parts of the site that you are interested in specifically, or is it just the writing side?
3. Have you done any work in music journalism or in your particular area of expertise before? It's not vital, but if you have done then let me know as it is always good to know if you have experienced it before.
4. If it is possible, could you send through a small sample of your work at all please? Doesn't have to be a 1000 word essay or the equivalent of the Mona Lisa, just something to have a look at so we can get an idea of what your own style is like and what sort of personality you have as everyone is different..
If you haven't written anything before then just put together a review on a favourite CD or a gig you recently went to if possible of roughly 200 words.
And finally, the email you need is the same as always. Just drop Rob an email, and he will be in touch soon. Sometimes it can take a bit of time to get back to people due to schedules and all that jazz, but don't worry, he will respond in time!
If you have any further questions then don't worry, just put them in an email too and send them his way - he's more than happy to help.
