In no more than 25 words, explain what makes you different to what’s out there already…
“It’s hard to describe what makes me different to what’s already out there but I hope that perhaps it’s the unique sensibility in my music a form of poetry and conversation; the way I interact with the world.”
It’s a wet and windy Tuesday evening in February and you’re on tour. Why should people venture out to come see you?
“When people come out to see me perform live they know that they are going to get dedicated performance. Whether it’s one person or 1,000+ people in the audience it’s the personal interaction between us.”
Are you currently holding down other jobs? If so, what are they, and would you recommend them to other aspiring artists in need of cash?
“At present I’m fortunate enough to enjoy music as my full time job and I’m loving every moment of it. When artists are starting in the business it’s not always straightforward to get a deal immediately so there are times that you do need to hold down a day job to keep the cashflow going.”
You’re on top of a soapbox, telling everyone where you aspire to be in five years time. Where do you aim to be, and what’s your mission statement?
“It’s very difficult to make forecasts for the future but we all have aspirations and one of mine is to keep it real. I totally enjoy my music and performing live and I believe that it’s very important that you always keep your values in life.”
For a bonus point – tell us a joke! You don’t have to, but if you feel the urge…
“There is an amazing new machine at my gym, it does everything but I can only use it for an hour before I start to feel sick. It does chocolate, crisps, soft drinks and more…” |
